feeling the distance. but i'm not gonna give up.

at least, not now. nor any time soon.

played overnight mahjong at lok's place with marco and daniel last night. was supposed to meet at his place in outram by 8, but i reached ard 9. went to o-two for a drink. ok screw it, for a LOT of drinking. drank 1/4 bottle of martell and 3/4 bottle of chivas with just the 4 of us. marco and i were emo-ing, probably that's why. marco's song got skipped because lok wanted 劲歌金曲 and Ace overwrote marco's 黑色幽默. marco was there cursing at lok. lol. damn funny.

went and played mahjong in a 75% high state. although i was still mentally clear of what i'm doing, but daniel wasn't that lucky. haha. played till 9am this morning and decided to take a short nap before heading to sentosa.

went harbourfront to meet qingfeng at ard 1.30pm. met up with sharon, jiahui and felicia as well before going into sentosa together. reached ard 2+. the guys (augustine, joel, lendl, etc etc.) freaking dragged me and threw me into the sea. blah. i wasn't really planning to get wet, actually. then we started seaweed wars! disgusting! i had seaweed spa. lol. got buried by yichao, jap, qingfeng etc. zzz. every yr confirm will get buried. lol. but i appreciate the efforts of digging the hole for me. haha.

played ard and talked to the cheryls (lee and koh) for a while before going to bathe and heading back to mainland. was thinking abt some stuffs on the bus. probably the emo songs caused it but oh well. went home to cook noodles, so didn't join the rest for dinner. reached home at ard 10.30pm and i'm freaking tired. -sigh- think i'm gonna go slp now.

i haven't blogged for 2 days already! so quick update:

Monday

woke up late and was late for work. rushed all the way to NUS, and was late by abt 15 mins. everyone was doing some event at lvl 7, so i stayed in the office. later on, hui leng intro me a new part time staff, vanessa, who's frm lsct also! 3 yrs my junior, from ron's batch. at least i have a rotting buddy now. hur hur. and she's fun to chat with too.

came home and fell aslp immediately. woke up at ard 11pm and chatted a while before going to bed at 1am+.

Tuesday

reached NUS at 8am today. i woke up earlier than usual and i'm super tired. had to help setup for the seminar. had to wear freaking formal. i hate formal cos i look stupid in it. ok maybe i just look stupid all along, but i'm looker worse in formal. and i realised my pants were missing so i had to wear my dad's, which seemed like baggy pants. anyway, it was another day of pure slacking, except for the registration in the morning. say mdm tan frm NP there as well, attending the seminar. surprised to see her then i remembered she's a chemical engineer afterall. i saw my ITA lecturer max lam as well. still the funny i remembered him to be, but he couldn't remember me. I don't blame him though, so he taught me like 6 years ago. lol

supposed to meet yi chao and japheth for lunch again, but since there's free food, i asked them over to our side. but i didn't realise that lunch would start so late. sorry dudes, made you guys come that far and ended up a wasted trip.

went to gym with chao, justin, japheth and shing. did some weights and learned quite a bit from chao abt lifting weights and which area will be trained, etc. interesting. my muscles are aching now. blah. but i think i'm gonna go gym often now, if i have the money.

continuation of this morning's post. hur hur.

went to sentosa yesterday with kai, yeo, jess, peiwen, kiap, jj, lye huat, benbenwhy, shing and weng. supposed to meet at 12 pm but i woke up at ard 11am. so yeah, i'm late. met up with kai and jess at dhoby ghaut first before heading to harbourfront. and i didn't realise we were in the same mrt all the way.

went for a quick bite at barbourfront centre before heading to vivocity to take the sky train in. and to be honest, i didn't know that we could take trains to sentosa! lol i haven't set foot to that island for ages! hur hur. was going through my inbox and realised cherie msged me in the morning~ i missed you, cherie! really glad to receive the sms. smsed her for a while, catching up and all. nxt time go out for dinner ok? =)

reached sentosa only ard 3pm, and the sun's already gone! bah. everytime i go sentosa, it's either cloudy or raining. a curse, i say. the girls went for a walk while a few of us decided to gather and just rot. yeah we went sentosa just to rot. lol. then, it started to rain, so we hid in the shelter, and decided to go off when the rain stopped. lol. waste of time going sentosa yesterday, cos i didn't even get tanned. we didn't even swim! zzz. but when we took the sky train to back to vivo, we decided to wave back at the staff that welcomed us, cos all the sentosa staff always wave at the passengers but noone waves back. so we waved. she was quite amused by it. so we kept waving at her and saying bye. then as we exit, she said 'bye GLs!' and we were stunned. she's a freshie from LSCT! lmao. Veltro freshie but I didn't manage to catch her name. haha. surprises.

headed to food republic and jialing joined us for dinner. we bought our dinner and met at the open area at vivo lvl 3 and ate there. kai bought this freaking $9 worth of 什菜饭. ate and chatted a while before i went to pet safari with weng for a while to buy some Cesar for phoebe. then we went to take a look at the pets and we saw this 3 months old Samoyed which was freaking cute! and a golden retriever pup which was adorable! omg. the pup came over to our side and rubbed his body against the glass. cute. then i went to take a look at the hamsters. we saw 2 of them 'brawling' and chasing each other. i missed my hamsters. -sigh-

anyway, we headed back to the group. oh oh this is the fun part: we crashed TPSU's FOC gathering. lol. should be TPSU, or SPSU. either way, we crashed them. lol. they were sitting in groups, at lvl 3 vivo open area, and we were in our own group. it all started when 2 guys came up to us and asked us which group we were from and we said something like trisaw or something? then they said 'oh' and walked off. wow! that was random. and another 3 girls came to us and asked us where hakim was? after that, they decided to start crashing into the group photos and stuff. damn funny. jialing and jess even went to the front of the group and joined in, and they let the girls joined in.

after much crashing and photo taking, they decided to go around all the groups and waving bye bye. omg. hit and run sia. hur hur. some of them were giving that 'wtf? who are they?' look.

after much persistence from lye huat, we headed to ben & jerry's. peiwen fed me with this mango lime ice cream. ugh. i hate sourish stuff! and she kept feeding me with it. lol. where got time where got time! but the ice cream that jj and yeo got was nice. i'd buy that if i had money. everyone decided to go home after that, except yeo, jialing, weng and me. we headed back to the open area for a short chat before heading home at ard 11.45pm. managed to take the last train to dhoby ghaut and decided to head off to somerset partyworld and find my sis.

reached partyworld and sang ktv with jason, minghui, my sis and her colleague jennifer, i think. i only remember i drank like 3 glasses of beers and 1 glass of vodka. and i felt quite emo. lol. sang a few songs and then lost my voice, cos i was practically shouting when i sang the last song, 爱情不能做比较. then jason suggested extending the singing time till 5am. so we did. i started falling sleep ard 3, waking up occasionally to applause and listening to the songs, cos i'm a light sleeper. my sister has a good voice. hur hur. ming was sleeping like a log, though he claims that he's listening to the songs. yeah, he can listen while snoring. lol.

reached home at 7am this morning. felt happy to see phoebe. she was all excited when she saw us. lol. cute. ate prata that dad bought before going to slp, and waking up ar 3.30pm. =.=

I am damn sad. My tooth filling came off! Initially only one small bit came off, then I felt the hole slowly enlarge itself. Then a whole layer of filling came off! So it left like a concave area on my tooth. Then... part of my tooth wall came off too! =.=

I'm blaming it on the chewy Wang Wang sweet I was eating. But I have no freaking proof that was it. Blah. Now my tooth is like chipped and semi-hollow. It feels awkward. And I've got no money to visit the dentist. Gotta wait till next month. My tooth will probably fall off by then. Hur hur.

Went to eat Chang Cheng porridge with Kai, Jess, Weng, Ben Lim, BenBenWhy, Yeo, Felicia and Yide. I was damn late actually. =X I had to fly Sharon and Felicia's aeroplane this afternoon. Was supposed to have lunch with them in the afternoon. Sorry! Next week ok? Speaking of which, Huixian, Serene and Bee Sim are supposed to have lunch with me too. -grumble grumble-

Anyway, back to the outing. So we went to eat the porridge, and th Claypot Frog Legs were the shitz! The sauce was yummy-licious. But the raw fish slices and pig intestines weren't too fantastic. I ordered Century Egg + Pork Porridge. Same as the one I ordered the last time I went there. Would have preferred if the century eggs were in smaller portions.

After that, we went CK shopping centre and took a little walk. Enjoyed crapping a bit there, then we bought some snacks and drinks and head off to this 'legendary' basketball court, which we managed to find only after much search. We took quite some time to find it, but it's really a nice place to chill and hang out. Talked a lot of crap there. a LOT. A whole freaking shit load. That was where my tooth filling came off. Blah. Felicia had to leave shortly after we reached that place, because of her friend's prob.

Chatted till ard 1am before we finally decided to leave. Then I spent an emoing 1 hour on NR2, listening to emo songs and thinking of emo stuff. lol.

I realised I'm damn obsessed with 300 now. It's like the 7th time I watched it online, but hell I'm getting sick of it. lol

Going Sentosa for a tan tomorrow. Praying that the weather will be fine and sunny. But heck, I'm melanin deficient anyway, cos I just can't get freaking tanned. Haha.

Time for a short nap before the trip tomorrow.

Enjoyed a rest day at home, then Kai called to ask me out to City Hall. After some confirmation, I went ahead. Met up with Jess, Weng and Kai at Burger King. Ate my Taro Turnover as usual. It's a must whenever I go BK. Even if I'm not eating a meal there, I must have the damn Turnover. MUST. Cos it's nice. And the Barley as well. Yum. But I gotta save up and cut down on expenses.

Went to Esplanade to chill and talk cock. Jessica was confused when I said we're going to the Durian (which was referring to Esplanade because of the structure) and she thought we're going to eat durians. So she softly said 'I don't wanna eat. You guys carry on.' Weng and I started banging the wall after that. Funny things that Jessica can say sometimes. Hur hur.

Nothing too fantastic about today, but it was fun hanging out with them.

And I'm gonna have to work tomorrow. Boring job. Blah.

I never expected anyone else to listen to this song until I heard it play during FOC! Haha
Back from LSCT FOC! 6th FOC in 7 years. And I gained a xiao mei and 7 daughters during camp! Yi Ting became my xiao mei cos she said I'm similar to her elder bro. lol can't think of anyone that can be as crazy as me.

And my 7 daughters are:
Jialing! - 鱼圆汤
Jiahui - 鱼片汤
Jessica - 大便汤 (we'll work on a better name for this sometime soon. =X)

lol. anyway the FOC camp was fun, especially Angels and Devils! I totally loved that night cos we look as if we're high on drugs or something. Who needs alcohol and drugs when you can get high while tying water bombs? lol We were just doing what we do every year: bringing people into the toilet and bombarding them with waterbombs. And it was really fun. Haha. Even though it was our 3rd day of camp already by then, most of us still found the energy to pull people in, dump water on them, and bombing each other. Gary fell down while carry a pail of water to bombard someone. Damn funny. And my Spartan armour! I've gotta show my armour!

ZAI ARMOUR OK! Damage reduction plus immune to magic attack. But 200% additional damage from sound attacks. Weijie screamed through the opening and made me temporary deaf. lol

Fun 2007 was damn high too! Maybe it's just me. But I was damn high. Initially I wanted to just sit at the 2nd level and watch them cheer from above. After the 1st cheer, I couldn't sit still anymore and went down to the 1st level with Ben Wong. Exciting, can? lol. And Gary's suicide squad was the pwnage! Good job to the 16 members! Running out to the middle and forming LSCT. That was fun. Doing crazy stuff once a year is fine. Hur hur. And we totally owned ME. They were using loudhailers! LOUDHAILERS! And I could shout louder than all 3 of their loudhailers. Oh mian.

I was basically with the Food Comm making milo and stuff and I enjoyed the times with the gals. Thanks Yi Ting, Cheryl, Shameema and Wen Ping for entertaining an old man like me. You girls should learn how to use the can opener soon. =X But it was fun opening the cans together and delivering food, rain or shine.

Credits to the welfare comm for losing their voices and keeping the spirits as high as possible. Like what Kiap said, if you never lose your voice, then not considered going through FOC. My voice is recovering faster compared to last year. Thankfully. I feel like going KTV soon. xD
Games and Log Comm did a great job at games and logistics. Everything was nicely done, I must say. Things were cleared up quickly (probably one of the quickestI've seen so far) and organised. Good job everyone!

My greatest satisfaction was seeing how everyone grew throughout these years, and my comfort lies in the fact that they will continue the future of LSCT in years to come. =) And seeing the AGLs graduating was especially fun to me, seeing how I've known some of them since their freshie days, and in a blink of an eye, they're leaving NP already. I do hope this will not be the end of the road for you guys, and that in future we'll still be part of this one big family called LSCT.

I was glad to get feedbacks from freshies that the camp was great and all. Even though some gave poor feedbacks but it's ok! It serves as feedback so that future FOCs may be improved and move to higher peaks. =) Good job well done everyone! All GLs, SGLs, AGLs, and above.
And I finally got a job in NUS. Faculty of Engineering, Professional Activities Centre. Some event co-ordinator part time job, but it's good enough for me at this point in time. If anyone is in NUS or the area, feel free to ask me out for lunch!

I FINALLY WATCHED TMNT! WOOT!

I was so damn excited! lol damn I feel like a kid again.

Everyone was saying TMNT sucked and I shouldn't watch it, but it turned out better than I thought! True, the storyline ain't much, but it's still enjoyable as a TMNT show. Near the end, there was a scene where they put up masks and all and I saw things that were so nostalgic! The sceptre from the 3rd movie, Shredder's helm etc. Happy happy. Thanks to Steph for the treat. "You've made a very old man very very happy." xD

I applied for a part time admin job over at NUS, but I missed the interview this morning. Don't ask why, I'm terribly guilty about it. =\ But thankfully, I've been given another chance, on Monday. I hope I'll get the job. I need money =.=

Went to PS with Kai, Kiap and Jialing. Walked a bit there before heading over to Beach Rd to buy Kiap's torchlight and Jialing's slippers. Been almost 2 years since I last went there. Remember going there during my BMT days to get more ziplock bags, prickly heat powder, all the misc. stuff needed for field camps and all. Haha. Those were the good ol' days and I miss it. But going through it again? No freaking way.
