# Sick...again-
yeah, i'm sick...again...since yesterday...got caught in the rain on my way back on thursday...when i was buying dinner for my dad...guess i caught a cold from there...
remember i was talking about jackpot and using up all my luck? yep, this proves another point...you see, my dad was suspected of having gall stones in his gall bladder...he was having acute pain in his abdomen region...then he had to spend 100 dollars on an ultrasound scan, which showed that he's actually ok, except for fatty liver...
then previously, someone from hdb came to my house for a routine check i think...then said that we have to be fined for installing a casement window without permit, which we didn't know...guess how much is the fine? S$1000... i am so broke i tell you...my whole family's in a crisis now...and i can't afford to go out anymore...then a few days ago, my parents went to hdb to settle the proceedings to buy a new flat...and have to pay some fees also...few hundred...good Lord, why are you doing this to me?
and then, a few people have been asking me how's me and wan hua...i know wad's happening when i'm not around...i know...and i just have to say i cant spent much time with you now...i'm tired and broke and i do hope that u will understand, if you ever will...

# Whee~!!-
Thank God It's Friday!! And guess what? I don't have to go work tml! *evil laugh* actually my mentor said I don't have to go tml...and she doesn't go work on saturdays too...heh...I feel good~ ah~
so far did mainly Southern hybridization and PCR...haven't tried the blotting part yet...now I finally understand the whole thing about Southern hybridization...heh...did a lot of things and i'm sharing my mentor with 4 other students: 1 guy from tp and 3 girls from sp...they are norman, kamilah, sharon and marlini...they are nice people ^_^...the 4 of them are doing their fyp there and the girls come back every thus, fri and sat to do their project...then norman is doing his fyp there...so naturally my mentor would be more focused on them...*sigh*
i've finally been given a mini project to do...it's about rna-binding proteins and the rna recognition motif...don't ask me what's that cos i still have about 10 journals to read...heh...took me quite some time before i actually understand what i've been doing...then yesterday my mentor had a discussion with the sp girls and ask me to join them...then she started to talk about how to write their final year report...then explain some stuff we had doubts on...and she also explained the gene trap and some stuff about rice functional genomics...then guess wad...she wans me to write a report on that together with the rest...argh~~ diaoz diaoz diaoz...

# Journeys-
I had my 2nd month anniversary today. Got a wonderful wallet from dear. Thanks dear. I gave her a bracelet. She seems to like it too. *phew* ^_^ we had dinner at swensen's and the food there was quite nice. I had curry chicken baked rice, recommended by cherie, and she took teriyaki chicken pasta. We then took our lovegety photo. It's better compared to the last one. ^_^. Anyway, then I rushed to the airport to send marcus off. For the past 24 hours +, leroy, jas and marcus has left us physically to USA, UK and Australia respectively. No, they're not dead. They are away for their overseas attachment. *sigh* 3 men down, left with 8. I'm gonna miss these guys a lot i tell you. it's 4 months till we see them again. Till then, my friends. I'll keep u guys in prayer. ^_^
This made me feel that friends would have to part for their respective ways somehow. But keeping in touch is another thing that most neglect. Everyone goes on their life journeys, including me. But do we still contact those people we met in our life journeys? I feel sad for friendships to be broken because of losing contact. It's just darn sad. *sigh*

# Jackpot!-
whoa! i can't believe wad had happened today! i just freaking won a Creative Nomad MuVo NX! it's a 3-in-1 mp3 player, data storage and voice recorder! I didn't expect to win that...I was actually hoping for a Creative Opticalite mouse...
before all these happened, the gang met up for a farewell lunch for leroy, jasmine and marcus, cos they'll be going for their overseas attachment tml onwards...so we had a buffet lunch at Ponderosa...and everyone ate to their fill...it was not bad...=) and anyway, we decide to head to Suntec City and take a look at the Comex computer convention to take a look and decided to take part in the Creative Jackpot...once time round, 5 of us (ryan, leroy, jiaming, daniel and me) went for a try...each one was given 3 chances...and none of us won anything more than a t-shirt (onli leroy got that, the rest got keychains...-_-) then ryan, leroy and I decided to go for a second try and leroy won a mouse and i won the Nomad! holy ****!
sometimes you'll wonder abt striking jackpot...whether you'll ever hit one...and what comes after hitting one...did you hit a good jackpot or a lousy one? are you satisfied with the jackpot you hit? i am though...cos i hardly ever strike any jackpot...^_^
i can't help but feel this is God's small gift to me for the dark times ahead...i have a strong feeling i'm gonna repeat my genomics...*sigh*

The Genomics Prayer
Good Lord, I do not understand why do we study this. Open up our minds so we can actually take in the enormous pile of stuff and horror in this stack of notes. We ask that the paper will not be too hard, as it freezes our brain and destroys our cells. Deliver us from this evil.
Amen.
Argh~ I'm too stressed up by genomics already...and the above work is done in times of extreme insanity...-_-;
looking forward to tml's chalet...which will be Joanna's 21st birthday! Congrats! and then thurs will be the farewell dinner for the gang...=\ and for those staying back in Singapore, most probably, we won't be seeing each other much for the new few months...*sigh*

alrighty! i finally changed my blog layout...thanks to the folks at Animanga X for the blog layout...was searching whole day for a proper blog layout and something i fancied...then i found one blog layout on the X series, the one I set my background picture of...but then the tables were working properly and such so I spent the entire night, frm 6 pm to 2 am trying to troubleshoot the darn thing...but the tables were still screwed...the layout wasn't designed for use with blogger...*sigh*
so I gave up...and after another round of searching, I came across this and i found that it uses div, which is usier to manipulate with Blogger..^_^ and ta-da! and anyway, for you anime idiots out there, the layout is based on Rurouni Kenshin, aka Samurai X...*yawnz* I dead tired...gotta go sleep now...
naze...?
